The town of Ramgarh is known for its dense cover of orchards and unperturbed views of the snowy white capped Himalayas. Once a domicile of the British Army, this hill station in Nainital, Uttarakhand has often been the inspiration for famous poets and artists. The distinguished poet Rabindranath Tagore, and social worker Narain Swami established their ashrams in the tranquil setting of Ramgarh. The acclaimed poets Sachchidananda Hirananda Vatsyayan and Ramdhari Singh were also residents of this pristine town.
